| Please see the message below from the Office of Residential Life: Dear Class of 2030, First, we in the Office of Residential Life would like to congratulate you on your acceptance to and saying yes to Wesleyan; we are very excited to welcome you as part of the newest flock of cardinals. We are sure you all have many questions about housing and how you even apply for housing for your first year at Wesleyan. The First Year Housing Application is open and available via StarRez, which you can access through your WesPortal (WesPortal > Offices & Services > Residential Life > StarRez > First Year Housing Application). In addition to WesPortal, you can access StarRez in the Online Orientation platform by clicking on the link at the top of your WesPortal . As you go through the application, we highly encourage you to take time to read about the varying residential options that are available to first-year students. These options include 8 different community-based living options, which you can choose to rank in your application if you are interested in any of them, as well as the traditional residence halls. In the application you will also rank your room type preferences. There are four different room types: a single, a one-room double, a two-room double, and a triple. It is important to note that most first-year students have at least one roommate. If you have any questions as you are navigating the First Year Housing Application, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Office of Residential Life. We recommend that you do so by submitting a ticket to our office (WesPortal > Offices & Services > Residential Life > Submit a ResLife Inquiry) as the ticket system is monitored by multiple professional staff and it is often the most efficient way for our staff to respond to your inquiries. -Residential Life |
