Information For

A message from Dean Butler: The Stop Campus Hazing Act

Dear Students,

We are looking forward to meeting you in a few weeks!

I am writing to inform you about The Stop Campus Hazing Act, a federal law which was signed into law by former President Biden in December 2024.

This act requires all institutions of higher education that administer federal student aid programs to disclose hazing incidents in their annual security reports. The act also requires each institution to provide anti-hazing training to all members of the campus community.

In order to remain compliant, we have designed a brief training module for students that formally defines hazing, identifies warning signs, and makes clear how to report a possible hazing incident. Please use the following link to access the training: Hazing Prevention Training. The training module is 13:39 in total. Make sure to click submit at the end.

If you have information regarding a possible violation of Wesleyan’s hazing policy, please use the following link to submit the information to the Dean of Students: Hazing Report Form

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and helping us remain compliant with this federal requirement.

Sincerely,

Kevin M. Butler
Associate Dean of Student
