Students may count up to 4.0 credits from courses taken before matriculation toward BA or BLS degree requirements. Eligible courses include:
- Courses taken at accredited U.S. or international institutions with a grade of C- or better
- Dual enrollment courses used for high school graduation (e.g., Wesleyan High School Scholars Program, National Education Equity Lab)
While there is no limit on how many prematriculation credits can be recorded on a student’s academic history, only up to 4.0 credits may:
- Count toward graduation
- Be used for class year advancement
Prematriculation credits cannot be used to:
- Reduce a student’s course load below full-time
- Replace failing or unsatisfactory grades
- Fulfill general education requirements
Departments determine whether prematriculation credits may be used to satisfy prerequisites or major requirements.
Submitting Credits:
Students must send official transcripts via Parchment and notify their class dean at snewball@wesleyan.edu. The class dean will assist with posting approved credits.
